  • HIST-032 Cultural History of the Chican (3 Credits)

    HIST 032 will examine the social, political, and economic experiences of Mexicans living in the United States beginning with their Pre-Columbian heritage through the Spanish colonial era, the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo, the Great Depression, World War II, and the Civil Rights Movement. Emphasis will be on how these experiences have helped to shape the culture of Chicanos in the modern era.
    Requisites:
    Advisory(s): ENG 051A - Recommended prior to taking this course, but is not required.
